I was really looking forward to this because I am coming to the end of my maternity leave and I really fancied a treat so I booked the Glowy manicure and pedicure because they sounded luxurious. My first impression was that the place was very clean with nice decor and tucked away on a quiet side street. My technician was friendly and all started off well. However the pedicure lasted 20-30 mins shorter than expected - we started at 14:20 and we were done by 14:50. It felt very rushed so much so I didn’t remember her removing the dead skin from my feet. I soon realised that maybe it was rushed because they needed to make room for a party of 4 which arrived soon after. Anyway moving on to the manicure. That also felt rushed and a bit rough and painful. The end result looks good but when I got home and washed my hands there was stinging and I could see two of my nails were bleeding where the cuticle has been cut too close. So what I thought would be a nice treat turned out to be over priced regular nail bar unfortunately. Apparently the treatment was short because I didn’t have to wait to dry my nails and could let them dry whilst doing my manicure. So toenails need 20-30mins to dry and that’s included in the length of the treatment. OK. Anyway in summary not really a lux treatment, can get the same at any regular nail bar so don’t expect much. I would have given fewer stars but the staff were nice.
