I arrived early for my appointment but the salon was empty and I was seen to rightaway which was great. However, that's where the joy stopped. There were only cheap off brand nails varnishes (rival de loop, essence, and other drugstore brands that run at about €1.50 per bottle), worst of all, most of them were almost empty and/or dried up. There wasn't a single decent red but instead lots of shabby looking purples and light blues with sparkle. If I had known this, I would've brought one of my many OPI and Essie varnishes I have at home (as I came for a standard, not shellac, mani/pedi this time). When removing my old varnish, the technician's own long, acrylic nails hurt my nail beds. I have never once been to a salon before where the technician had full-on, long, acrylic nails. The water in the pedicure station was cold but she added warm water at my request. However, I think this ought to have been checked beforehand and the customer shouldn't have to ask. The couch was also too deep and not comfortable to sit on in relation to the pedi-station. Music (radio station) was awful. I wasn't asked whether I wanted my nails filed round or square. At the end the second technician (why they swapped wasn't explained to me) put on nail oil but then rubbed it all over my hands which left them greasy. Five of the nails got ruined and had to be redone. Each time I had to remind her to use clear varnish first, as to not have the dark polish stain my natural nails. Meanwhile my feet got colder and colder as there was no lamp or heater to keep them comfortable while the varnish was drying. The whole thing was very frustrating, esp the cheap old varnish not drying for ages and then having to be redone anyways. At home this takes me less than half the time no exaggeration. So I ended up with a colour that wasn't my first choice but which I had picked because it looked like it might not be quite as past its sell by date as the others and then it came out real shabby anyways. Overall, I will not come back. If you're looking for cheap mani/pedis and don't mind paying for an amateur job, this is your place but do bring your own colours or go without varnish. I shall be redoing my nails ASAP so even the low price I paid seems to high for that. Seriously tempted to donate some of my old varnishes to them as they would still be nicer than what this salon had out. I'm 100% serious.
Perfect!
